About this vacancy
National Health Mission Assam is recruiting Community Health Officers (CHO) to strengthen primary healthcare services at Sub-Health Centres and PHCs across all 35 districts. Posts are contractual with annual performance-based renewal.
Eligibility criteria
- B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognised institution OR GNM with minimum 60% marks
- Registered with Assam Nurses and Midwives Council (ANMC)
- Age: 21 to 38 years as on 01 Jan 2025
- Must be willing to serve in rural/remote areas of Assam
- Preference given to candidates from the district of posting

Shortlisting based on academic marks in B.Sc Nursing / GNM qualification
Stage 2 — Document Verification
Verification of certificates, registration with Assam Nurses and Midwives Council
Stage 3 — Joining & Training
6-month MLHP training before posting
