About National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Guwahati

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Guwahati is an Institute of National Importance established in 2008 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. Located at Changsari, Guwahati, it is the only NIPER in Northeast India. It offers M.Pharm, MS (Pharm), and Ph.D. programs across departments including Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Medicinal Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Regulatory Affairs. The institute focuses on research relevant to natural products and ethnopharmacology of the NE region.

Admissions

Admissions via GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) for M.Pharm/MS (Pharm) programs, followed by NIPER JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted jointly by all NIPERs. Ph.D. through institute-level interview. Visit niperguwahati.ac.in for current notifications.
