About Cotton University (Autonomous)

Cotton University (formerly Cotton College) is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in Northeast India, established in 1901 in Guwahati, Assam. Granted university status in 2017 under the Cotton University Act, it continues to be a centre of excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education across sciences, arts, and commerce. The university retains its historic campus on Panbazar, Guwahati, and is affiliated with several other colleges. Many leading public figures and academics in the region are among its alumni.
