About this exam

The Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) is the state government's flagship multi-department recruitment drive covering Grade III (approximately 9,500 posts) and Grade IV (approximately 3,100 posts) vacancies across departments including Education, Health, Agriculture, PWD, Finance, and others. The examination is conducted by the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) or Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) depending on post category. ADRE is notable for its single-stage written examination format — there is no interview or physical test for most posts. Candidates can apply to multiple departments in one application.
